In relation to the Go Red For Women 2009 campaign in Singapore, a group of NTU students interviewed CGH Cardiology Chief Dr. Goh Ping Ping about the importance of heart health and why it is important to women.

Heart disease and stroke is the #1 Killer for women in Singapore, but a research done showed that only 8% of Singaporean women are aware of this fact. Go Red For Women hopes to increase awareness about this fact so that women can be more pro-active in taking care of their heart.

  • I am curious to know what does this doctor mean when she says "loved ones". Should we include our parents as "loved ones" ? Would appreciate the reply from that doctor. Thank you.
