Zoerman and Clark Lathe maybe 1950's vintage with a 1909 Leavitt Mfg Chuck .Someone adapted the chuck on this lathe by machining a end plate for it with threaded center to mount other chucks on it as well.

  • very nice job !

  • @raptormaxx A mini lathe will knock the spots off one of these lathes. The mandrel is very light weight and they don't even have hand wheel dials. They dont have a morse taper tail stock either. There better than nowt though.

  • nice machine can someone post links of some drawings for the assembly and components too ..

  • I have one zackly like that. Mine is the lathe pictured on lathes.co.uk

I date it as late 1930s

Yours is the only other I have seen.

  • verry nice! I like that its old and still works?

i have a grizzly 7x12 that wont last as long as that? PLASTIC has no place on such a tool

  • Loveley, I have quite a similar lathe. A 1920's Ideal, made in London. I'm in the process of setting it up for work, I'll do a video when it's ready.
