At the annual "Singing at Sarona" folk music weekend in Israel, Larry Brandt's Big Brass Band and Banjo Workshop produces the traditional opening act of the main show. Attendees who have never played a horn or banjo before are given a brief introduction to the instruments, and taught a couple of basic chords or notes. They then accompany Larry in a couple of simple songs to open the show.
This year's banjo band features Harmonica Harold Jacobs and Yitz Hochstein on 5-string banjos, along with our 3 victims who have never played before, playing tenor. We offer two classics for your enjoyment -- "My Bucket Has a Hole in It" and "Deuling Banjos".
Participants and audience alike get a unique experience and photo opp. Our public demands that we return every year with bigger and better surprises as we attempt to create music ex nihilo. You be the judge.
I can tell who the victims are...
