In my country of Australia couples wait years to adopt a child, and there are scarce newborns available to parent. One hundred thousand babies are aborted annually here! (mild by comparison to numbers in some countries)

The issues of rape, incest and danger to the life of the mother are rare yet difficult cases. But - is the innocent baby to be executed for the crimes of others? Isn't the life of the baby equal to the life of the mother? and, What CHOICE does the baby have??

Morality aside, the reality is that ultrasound PROVES the fetus / embryo to be a living, growing human being. And "I am quite sure" that if women were actually given the exact details of what an abortion entails and the risks to themselves physically and psychologically, they would choose adoption over abortion any day. In regard to animals, I believe they should not be maltreated and should be killed quickly and humanely.

Human embryos are given no anaesthetic whilst being aborted!!

We always want a quick fix don't we? If there is one thing I would like more of for my myself, it is patience. Patience is tied into hope which is also something I could use more of. What joy and beauty this man has brought to the world with his singing. He was blessed with a mother whose judgement was not based on fear.

Birthing a child and then giving it up for adoption is just as physically and mentally scarring as having an abortion. I can understand both sides of the argument here, so I don't really think we should be arguing in the first place. For young mothers especially, the idea of having a child -- ruining your body, and giving up your life basically -- is extremely scary. Some find that having a choice is comforting. I think this is understandable, even though I don't personally support abortion.
