ClipX is a tiny clipboard history manager for Windows, to record copy/paste items for later use. It can be recalled via a hotkey or left-click in the icon tray. Supports text, files and bitmap. This clipboard manager will change the way you work in your computer.

Is simple but very useful, and is free. It only use 400 KB of memory so you will not sacrifice the performance of your computer by keeping ClipX active at all time.

Under configuration, you can specify how many clips the program retains and whether it should ignore text or bitmap. You also can save a set of clips and reload them as needed.

It also has optional plugins. I recommend to download the Stickies plugin. It will keeps a list of permanent entries at the bottom of your history. Very useful to keep your email address at hand at all time.

Supports Windows XP, Vista and 7.

  • @Eraknelo Actually ClipX also has hotkeys, that you can change if you want. The difference is that you need to press the key you want (like ctrl + v) without holding any key and then select the item by clicking with the mouse or using the arrow keys + enter. The item will paste automatically, like Shapeshifter. Is very similar.

Anyway, the big problem with Shapeshifter is that don't work on WinXP (the most used OS at the moment, by a lot).

But still you are making a great work. Good luck.

  • @interlinkknight I would disagree on that with my own opinion. I am a developer of Shapeshifter, and find it to be a lot easier to use than ClipX, the reason for that, is because you don't have to click anything, or have another tray icon in your taskbar. Shapeshifter doesn't change your habits, and doesn't need much work to switch between the items. Just by simply holding DOWN ctrl + v, and scrolling.

We're working very hard on Shapeshifter, and are constantly releasing new versions.

  • @FlamefusionSoftware It is currently beta. All Flamefusion software is revolutionary, and freeware. You can see more of the FlamefusionSoftware channel's videos to check out Darkinvision too.

  • @FlamefusionSoftware I watch your video about Shapeshifter and it seems cool. Is on BETA so I understand that this is just the beginning of the project, and I wish you good luck on that.

I still think ClipX is a lot better for now, but Shapeshifter is on the right path.

Is going to be a freeware, or what?

Where I can download the BETA? Maybe I can help reporting bugs and request changes/features to improving the software.

  • @interlinkknight Our software is called "Shapeshifter". View the latest video on my channel to see it in action.

  • @FlamefusionSoftware What is the name of this software of yours? As far I know, I try all of them and ClipX is the best. Of course best means different things to everyone, but I mean: fast, easy to use, light, with one click access on the icon tray, etc.

  • @Alkabeer45b You should check out our clipboard manager too, which we believe is the best one out there.

  • You are welcome. I'm glad to know I help

    ClipX is very useful

  • Thanks a lot my friend, I really need this.
