cutting off the tail stops the wind and is very easy to do

Haha, true true, it was a very boring fight imo. the plus u have with bow is you can attack him in the air.
With Longswords, (and duel swords) when you attack him you are immune to the wind.
My brother and I clobbered a G-quest Kushala in 15 minutes. I died twice though because I'm very tentative when it comes to healing, so it took a bit longer.
