Sel-Demi, no he won't. What he did was a complete accident... I mean... I don't know how to explain it, but he's sooooo sorry. He feels terrible for what he did to you.
Demi looks down
Sel looks at Nick
A few moments later when Joe arrived at Demi house.
Demi was freaking out in her mind, and she was under the covers
Joe walks into her room
Sel-Demi, he's not gonna do anything if we're here with you
Demi-Get him out of my room
Sel-Demiiii
Demi doesn't say anything
Nick-Can he explain?
Demi doesn't say anything, she just tries to stay as quiet as possible so they can't hear her sobbing.
Joe-Demi, I'm sooooo sorry. You have no idea how upset I am at myself for doing this to you. I will never be able to forgive myself for this. I'm so sorry, Demi.
Demi doesn't say anything
Joe-Demi, please. I know what I did to you was terrible and I know you shouldn't forgive me that easily... but I still just want you to be able to trust me. I know what I did that night.. but out of the four months we've been dating.. have I ever pressured you? Harmed you? Forced you to do anything? I've spent the night at your house countless times and you have at my house and I haven't done anything you don't like. I don't drink, I don't do anything to hurt you in any way because I would never want to do that to you.
Nick-So, maybe when you get drunk you get aggressive
Joe mouths "shut up"
Sel-Demi, we can let you see a counselor so you can heal faster, but you gotta trust Joe.
Demi-Do you guys really not understand what happened to me that night. I can't let it go.
Sel looks at Joe
Joe-You explained it to me. When you first told me... all that pain you went through, and now, knowing I caused that... *sighs*. Please, just trust me, and I won't ever even touch you again. Just trust me
Demi-What will that do? I should call the cops on you
Joe-Demi...
Nick-I know this is a tragic thing... I understand.. well I don't, but, I mean.. you know what I mean, but you've got to trust Joe.
Demi-You guys don't understand. And why do I HAVE to trust Joe?
Sel-Demi, we don't know what else to say.
Demi doesn't say anything
Sel looks at Joe
Joe looks down
Nick walks out.
Selena looks at Demi, follows Nick out.
Joe didn't want to leave Demi. He didn't want to leave her all alone, especially since what she was going through now, and it was his fault, but Nick walked in and pulled Joe out, shutting her door.
Nick-You need to give her more time... it took her what, three, four months for her to just finally tell someone right?
Joe nods
Nick-It's basically the same thing... you've got to give her time. Let her come to you
Joe-If it's the same thing, I can't wait four months for her to come back to me. I love her.
Sel-And she loves you. But if you really love her, you'll give her the time she needs.
Joe sighs, looks at Demi's door.
Sel-Nick and I will stay in contact with her of course, so we'll let you know how she's doing... but you can't be around her right now.
Nick-You've got to understand.
Joe nods-Ok. *Walks by them and leaves*
Nick-...how long do you think until she comes back to him?
Sel shakes her head-...I don't know. *Looks down*
