Our Skyline Community (Part 1 of 3)

Featuring ten years of a NYC non-profit organization, SKYLINE COMMUNITY by showcasing six of 70 documentary shorts produced in a filmmaking and mentoring program entitled Skyline Charter Scholarship, which trained Latino and Black urban youth. Interspersed between the youth-produced documentaries are interviews with some of the 1,500 graduates, their parents, supporters, and Executive Director. Six documentary shorts: Take Control (verbal and physical abuse); Youths Work 4 NYC (summer youth employment); Teen Reality: The 10456 Community (teen pregnancy prevention); Integrated Works (combined mainstream and Special Ed); Urban Teens Reaching Out (Newark Public Schools); Families of Silenced Shoes (anti-gun violence)(Part 1 of 3)
