Sonic Unleashed (Wii) - EggmanLand Day Stage

Ah yes, this infamous stage. Many will dread when they first reach the EggmanLand Day Stage, especially if you were like me and did not explore the Gaia Gates, therefore only having your original 2 extra lives to work with.

With that said, however... this stage is only really all that difficult on your first time through because you are unsure what to expect and most will be intimidated by the mass amounts of places where you can die. Those of you who are worried about going for the S Rank for this stage... DO NOT LET IT INTIMIDATE YOU! Seriously... taking the stage one pace at a time makes it actually pretty easy. If you do well on the beginning two segments of the stage you can basically take it easy on the rest of the stage and still score an easy S Rank.

All I did for this video was take a couple runs to refresh my memory as to the location of each obstacle in the stage, then just sat down and recorded. Letting the stage intimidate you will only lead to nervousness and failure. I had nearly 45 seconds to spare on the S Rank, that leaves room for deaths too... I have even seen times that are 30 seconds faster than mine (of course, since I do not really put much effort into these XD)!

All I have to say is, if you are going for the S Rank, just watch this video, learn the short-cuts decide places where you will take it faster or slower than me, then go do it! Do it now! =P

This is supposed to be the hardest stage in the game... buuut that really only holds true on the first time through.

good video. this place gave me so much trouble on my first run. also, make the annotations stay a lil longer. im a fast reader and i couldnt read the whole annotation before it dissapeared

I tend to just set my annotations so if anyone actually wants to read them they are there if you click Pause. It is like on those DVDs where an icon pops up for a set amount of time during a show if you want to see a deleted scene.

how do you get more lives?

You get more lives by exploring the locked doors in the Gaia Gates. When you get enough Sun and Moon medals to enter them, many have items that increase the number of lives you have to complete stages/bosses.

Considering I triggered it by a random accident (I was just mashing some buttons... XD), I would say I probably would not be able to re-create it properly... There is at least one speed-run video I know of that does it though. Think the username for the video was SonicAbused1101.

OK seriously with that design it's barely even a boss on xbox it corners sonic in about a few levels but theres only ONE eggman made so it's not a boss there and u don't hear any day boss music it stays whatever music the acts music is

Ok it's different on xbox it's just one stage and theres an hour glass at curtain parts that changes day to night and bakc again when needed and one mission is to beat it in 70:00 it's that hard and if you die once it's like game over i think i've never played the level but in normal missions one die and urn done no checks

i need help. i have 100 sun medals and 68 moon medals, but i can't collect any more. all of the remaining gaia gate doors need 69 moon medals to unlock them, and i am out of missions to play to get them.
