@ZhangtheGreat I did not know that
-
@Amdrag25 Hahaha. Genie vs. Mushu... As far as humor goes, who would win? It's a draw to me...

10:25 Code Red anyone?
-
@ZhangtheGreat Or it could have been that the author of the original tale had no knowledge of the New World so the "Utter West" was Morrocco and the "Utter East" was China and he thought that China and Arabia functioned the same.
-
@Tailikku1, same thing. A large portion of the region we now call Turkestan was under Chinese control/influence during a significant period of the Islamic Caliphate era. (Heck, a significant portion is STILL under Chinese control today =P). It was considered "Muslim China" anyway, so meh.
-
@ZhangtheGreat Actually it was set in Turkestan.
You know?, this episode makes me think about a crossover between "Aladdin" and "Mulan". It would be cool, huh? Also, if Mushu could turn into a dragon similar to the one of this episode, it could be the perfect "guardian" for Mulan, don't you think?.

Although the original Aladdin (from 1001 Nights) was set in China, who knew that you could learn a bit about Chinese culture and ideas from watching DISNEY'S Aladdin? =)
