I was attending a conference unrelated to the march at the back of Miss Pixie's store (located at 1626 14th Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20009). During some downtime we had been hanging around towards the front of the store when someone shouted, "There's a protest outside!" We all ran outside and, sure enough, there was a demonstration for the civil rights of immigrants that was winding its way down 14th Street towards Dupont Circle. I grabbed my video camera and managed to film a few minutes of the march as the protest wound its way down the street. I also showed the traffic jam that resulted when a few Metrobuses and cars were unlucky enough to pick that time to drive down that street behind the protest marchers.
