I wish I had had your confidence when I was your age. I hid my sexual orientation for over 20 years. And the day (19 Dec 09) I came out was like a rebirth for me. The stress of hiding was gone. The fear of being found out disappeared. I feel like I missed so much but I am a happier man for finally admitting I am gay. Thanx for the vid.

@itsjoemcd That's fantastic (which show? I watch a fair bit of UKTV...). Medicine is excellent, never thought it would happen either as I never really considered it seriously as a career until a little later. Up in the arctic doing an emergency medicine elective right now - always interesting!

@StewNWT He only has 1 video, unless he comments on a lot of peoples things or random clicks like i just did, he wont get a lot of clicks. I believe many people -should- watch his video, for like you said, his sincerity. However, for sheer lack of pre-existing popularity before this video, his video will take time to take off and get more hits.

Really terrific and sincere video, there were a lot things people could identify with. Surprised you don't have more views.
I'm curious about the career you mentioned, awesome that you found something fulfilling to do. I bring it up as I'm from a really remote part of Canada with no doctors and now I'm a medical student, I get the sense you have a similar long story leading to where you are now!

@StewNWT thank you! :) ah yeh, I'm working in TV in London on one of the country's biggest shows, which I didn't think would ever happen.. your story sounds really interesting and that's great that you're a medical student, something really beneficial and it will definitely help your community by the sounds of it, with there being no doctors there!
