Harold Coolidge Rush Jr. answered the call of the Master to come home on November 16, 2009.
Born to Harold Coolidge Rush Sr. and Jean Arcola Rush on the 1st of August 1949, in Tuskegee, Alabama, he was one of seven children from this union. Harold was preceded in death by both parents, and two brothers; Larry R. Rush and Michael B. Rush.
Harold graduated from Seaside High School in 1967. He attended Monterey Peninsula College earning his AA Degree. He later moved to Santa Barbara and graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a BA in Psychology.
Harold Rush served in the Air Force Reserve from 1968 to 1974, where he received an Honorable Discharge.
In 1969, he married Synthia Joyce Relf and from that union one child was born; Harold Coolidge Rush III. In 1976, he married Nancy Marie Wilson and from that union one child was born; Nicole Mora.
Harold made his home in Santa Barbara for over 25 years. During that time, he served as a Chaplain at the Salvation Army, Program Specialist at Hillside House and taught vocational skills at Devereux Foundation.
