  • Can you tell me what you used towards the end--I think sandpaper to scratch it with? Also, when you rub off the extra crayon or paint, do you use a cloth or paper towel or something else? Thank you. This is very helpful.

  • yes a small piece of fine graqde sandpaper, ...I usually just use my hand to rub of the excess after sanding ... glad it was helpful

  • Wow, this is one of the best videos I've seen that has explained the usage of these supplies to start out a journal page, for those of us who are just starting out. Wonderful! Do you know if I could use these supplies on photographs? Black and white prints, to be exact?

  • Glad it inspired you , hop over to our creativity club yahoogroup if you like, we are going to play with some more art supplies ...

  • what is the gel golden for?

  • Thank you so much for clearing up my confusion on which art supplies to do what with!! Excellent. TFS

  • I don't understand any of the gel mediums or anything):

  • I have never tried this before...think I will give it a shot...can you use regular photgraphs that are taken too?

  • that is amazing. what journal do you use? I've been looking for a book that holds multiple mediums.

  • A suggestion for a diy alternative to gesso: Pva size + marble dust (calcium Carbonatee). It makes for a slightly translucent and flexible base that can be sanded and is absorbent. If you add some zinc oxide pigment, it makes it a silverpoint ground as well.

  • A lovely tutorial 2 showcase different ways of using gesso,... i'm new to the gesso....

  • What is the weight of the paper you used for the base page ?

  • Loved you video! You created a beautiful page! (:
