This is a clip from one of the annual Battle of the Alamo reenactments held at the Alamo by the San Antonio Living History Association. This particular reenactment was held at 3:30 pm on March 8, 2008. (more)
U guys know what's under the Alamo right.every Texan who fought for the Alamo . Juan seguin barryied them after the battle William Travis James Bowie and Davy crocett are Barryied up stairs of the alamo
@zweg2 - The Alamo was Mexico you Idiot! The reason the Texans were killed there was that they were land grabbers! Ordinary thieves that have been made into the Patron saints of Texas. The very Word Texan is derived from the original name Tejano! All Western folklore is just Mexican writ large.
Actually, most of the devastation that the Texan defenders put upon the Mexicans was from the shotgun like lead shot, and then rock shot that was fired down upon the Mexican soldiers as they approached the Alamo.
Amazing to hear those muscle loaders going off at the Alamo, and to think that it happened 10 times ney 100 times as much during the battle of the Alamo in 1836.
In realitiy, one cartridge was one shot not three. The powder, paper, and ball all would have gone down the barrel. The reenactors should be using 100 grains of powder for the muskets and 60 grains for smaller bore rifles.
The Battle of the Alamo was another way for Texas to say "I'm sorry, Mexico what was that? You want to be dicky about territory? Okay then, now if you would just hold still here and let watch the masters at work as we kick you square in the balls..."
Again Wow, that was cool.
Anyone that hasn't has to go. What a family event and an opportunity to teach your kids history and especially local history.
