  • Hey I just got a 66 coupe v8 289... It's in decent condition... I been driving it every day to work and school. I was wondering what you think the first few steps I should take in restoring it? The engine is the original 289 with 589,000 miles, and the original c4 auto tranny!

  • @d22hall Hello, You can email me at gjamn@earthlink and I'll be glad to help!! Thanks, James

  • This car has the Motorsport Crate Engine # M-6007-X302B The advertized HP is 345 with the B303 Cam. This engine was also upgraded with a Victor Jr. Air Gap intake and 750 Holley Street Avenger. The headers are JBA Shorty Stainless with a full 2.5" Dynamax Exhaust. The Ignition system is all MSD. The engine is still being broke-in and not been Dyno'd. The car also has a 5sp in this video and now it has a Moser 9" with a 3:70 Posi and rear Disc Brakes.

Thanks, any question just call 281-435-900
