@1521joe It has lipo straps, so the hight can be anything you want really. So I would say you are then limited to the motor/esc combination you choose that will tell you how many cells you can run. I like to run 4 in mine. I think it can be controlled a bit more than running 6.

whats the biggest lipos you can run in the hyper?
i like to run 6s, but i think the most you can fit in this is 4s?
thanks for this great vid man

how do u think this compares to the rc8be coming out next month

@FLUFFINATORofCA I do like the Associated RC8Be. But my problem is this. All it really is is a converted RC8B. Not much innovation going on there. Anyone can buy a RC8B and make it e. As a matter of fact Associated even sells conversion kits. One of the cool things about the Hyper 9e is that its a new platform thats made just for being electric. Not just a conversion. So they put more work into making it work better. It's a more balanced buggy in my opinion.

@FLUFFINATORofCA I also think as far as cost are concerned its a better value over the Associated. Not to mention Ofna has been making 8th scale buggies probably longer than anyone out there. The Hyper series is a much proven series of buggies. So over all I think the Hyper 9e is the best choice. I also love the fact that Ofna Pro drivers now basically run all the Ofna kits out of the box stock.Which means to you and me that there really is no need to do a whole lotta hopups to get it race ready

Great informative video. Thank you. Check out elite-RC motor mount for your hyper 9e, and also the moosracing carbon fiber chassis and side guards and radio tray and even shock towers. Allot of us racers are going with the latest carbon fiber, John owner of moosracing makes his chassis out of carbon fiber, Kevlar, and aluminum, they don't break. Hope this helps.

@mindthoughts1974 Where can these items be purchased? I was checking ebay and tower and I see nothing. Thanks for the info as well. I would love to get some side guards. The rest I will replace as they break. Also if possible can you list part numbers?
