First attempt to play an exercise from Kurt Rosenwinkel Italian clinic on pentatonic. Here you can find Kurt's video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uLnw6O8hUQ
Here i am playing a transcription i have found on this link (thanks! ):
http://somuchsound.blogspot.com/2009/07/kurts-sonic-goes-pentatonic.html
On this last link you can find a personal interpretation of fingering in standard notation and tab:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/21986377/rosenwinkel-s-pentatonic
This is the part starting at about 39 sec.
I played that not completely and a little slower than original but i wanted to be sure to make it usefull to study, if someone wish to make that : )
Enjoy.

  • thanks for sharing this

  • @kranquit

    Thanks for watching.

  • Thanks man, I love that tune you wrote. Absolute Convolute

  • @JacobAlonso

Thanks but it's not mine and it's not a tune: it's just an exercise that i have "stolen" from Kurt italian clinic.

    Glad you enjoyed.

  • And I know that's not a tune.

  • @JacobAlonso

No problem man : ). I just found "strange" your first comment, and i tried to explain.

    BTW: compliments for your videos.

    All the Best

  • ES-175?

  • @JacobAlonso Hey Jacob-- Absolute Convolute is my tune, you got my web friend Animatta (who did this video) and myself (who did the Pentatonic Fluidity video) confused! Kind of funny, and thanks!

  • The tune I'm talking about is found on the blog that you have linked, and it's called Absolute Convolute

  • @AnimittaJazzDisceple Ohhhh, that comment was supposed to be for a different video haha. Sorry 'bout that. I did enjoy that video though.
