General Purpose: To persuade to become organ donor

Thesis: Become an organ donor and you can help change lives.

Problem: Too many waiting for organ transplants not enough donors
A. Over 106,759(www.organdonor.gov) people waiting
1. 1 person added every 16 minutes
2. 10% are children under age of 18
B. Half of those people are actually donating
1. 16-17 people die everyday just while waiting
2. In a lifetime, 2,000,000 die- death toll
3. 10,000-14,000(congressionalkidneycaucas) who die reach criteria but half act. Donate
Solution: Signing u to be a donor can save lives
A. Fill out paperwork with doctor, receive card
B. Choose which organs to donate
C. Increase others chance at life by 80%
D. Funeral is still possibility
1.Open casket is possible
