Very nice setup I'm really jealous. You should take your IS F to mosport and take a video of that. You don't have to drive flat out on track days I bet you're better than you think.

@mikwilson i thought about buy three 40inch xbr9 tv. dont you think 47 inch is too big to see all the screen when you drive??? or is it perfect???

@ji3200 I think it's a good size for me. It makes the size of the opjects more accurate to the real world and I don't have to sit too close to the monitors to get the right sense of immersion.

Sounds like you already have a good set of accessories then ;-).

Welding a frame out of steel is the cheapest if you have the capability. Aluminum profiles are the most flexible for adjustment but also the most expensive. I went the aluminum profile route and I'm glad I did because I made a lot of adjustments along the way. For my next rig, I will most likely use steel since I already have a good Idead about what dimensions work for me.

You can probably build a basic platform for about $2,000 US which uses SCN5 actuators. The actuators themselves will cost you about $1,000 so the other $1,000 would be for building materials, seat and other accessories. This will vary based on materials used and where you source them from and does not include wheel, pedals and PC reauired to run the games and x-sim. Good luck.

Can you tell me an estimate of how much money (usd) is needed for the motion platform? I'm just starting to look at the x-sim stuff. I have a basic simulator I built a few years ago but would like to get into the x-sim. Could you share some insight into the cost and the process of building it? Thanks a lot !
