Heroic Oculus: How to do Ruby + Amber Void

Did they? ah well, this video was posted before that patch :) its easily rectified you can in theory solo this boss providing you don't force it to cut corners.

Just assign a kiting drake for the boss and tell the other 4 to kill whelps/keep dots on boss and it'll still be easy :) we just kited him around in large circles (the limis of these circles being uroms platforms) we also didn't take him below his own platform because that caused him to despawn for us.

And just incase there is further confusion i'll stick a few more pointers in here.

1. Take off ur armor during the fight, it doesn't help having it on and it saves money incase of a wipe.

2. Buff the main drake (yes thats right drakes can be fully buffed with kings/druid buffs/priest buffs etc)

3. If on the complete off chance you get into trouble dot a few of the little whelps up aswell during the astral phase, it'll heal you up fast if you can get 3x dots up on 2x whelps.

Its quite an obvious thing to work out no? its basic kiting, think about it... what happens when you go out of range of a caster monster? and what happens when you get healed for almost 4k every 2-3 seconds :) use ur common sense.

back in the day im sure the kiting was required. but now you can just hit tab 1 tab 1 tab 1 tab 1 the entire fight

and move away from spheres of course.

dotting the whelps causes LOTS more healing so you can easily tank through an enrage without debuffing.

This does not work anymore, cant kite whelps anymore... they have 300range casts now

if you need an explanation of what he's doing, then you just need to stop playing WoW. it's VERY OBVIOUS that he's kiting the boss. He uses Nightmare Touch to keep aggro, as well as reduce his damage, in case you needed further explanation, this video is self explanatory.

How can i have not noticed this ;o im from ER as well even ;) i still need to get this achievement done and i never get a group that are willing to give it a couple of tries... im an alliance anyway, ill just keep trying to find willing people ;) and try this strategy
