This is a highlights video of Geelong's season to date during the 2011 AFL Home & Away season. Many experts thought that Geelong would slide and bottom out, due to the loss of Gary Ablett Jnr, the Cat's coach last year, Mark Thompson and the belting they recieved from the Pies in last years Preliminary Final. But the cats have defined the odds and 9 rounds in (8 Games) and Geelong are on top the ladder, undefeated. A great effort by the Cats, while also giving younger players more opportunities such as Mitch Duncan, Daniel Menzel & Taylor Hunt.

@quartermilesmile - They have a HOME GROUND because all of the other Victorian clubs SOLD their home matches for matches at the MCG, Etihad, (and for the Hawks) Aurora.
Geelong still had to play all of these interstate teams (or as you would say, "crappy") at home during the 2001-2007 period when these teams were regularly featuring in the Top 4.
Just because these interstate teams are struggling at the moment, doesn't mean Geelong have a unfair advantage. Quit your whinging.

you know all this crapping on about geelongs home ground winning streak is wearing me thin. think about it. Geelong are going through a successful stage, yes i agree. now really think about this, what victorian team gets a REAL home ground advantage? think about it. and who do they play at home?????? yeh that's right all the crap teams!! any good teams and the game gets played elsewhere!! so i say, big deal about the crappy winning streak, oh and it has just come to an end anyway, haha lol.

Amazing!!! I love the catters so much.. and whether you barrack for them or not, their stronger and dominant play style that emerged from 2007 set a whole new world of AFL footy.. the bar was lifted and now other teams are rising to the challenge. For Geelong to come back after losing their "seemingly" best player (which I highly disagree with).. and coach, is nothing short of sheer dominance, skills, team work and loyalty the players have with one another. Let 2011 be another fantastic year!!

Tho I'm about 9,000 miles away... and I have to watch the games over a spotty Internet connection... I can't get enough. I've fallen hard for this strange and wonderful sport and the phenomenal players that amaze me time and again, game after game. And even though I've no right, I've staked a claim to the Geelong Cats and find myself speaking of them to everyone that crosses my path - willing or not. Now, thanks to this amazing clip I can show them instead of just tell them. :o)
