Welcome to the Sixth Part of our '2001 Retrospective', in which Poparena and I address Confused Matthew's review of '2001: A Space Odyssey'.
In this installment, we expose CM's traditional and impatient view on films. To that end, Poparena and I consider painter Jackson Pollock, and assert that while neither of us enjoy his paintings, we still acknowledge them as real art. This open-minded viewpoint is something Confused Matthew lacks in many of his later reviews. CM is thus rather arrogant in regarding unconventional, symbolic films as unreal or not worthwhile.
You can find parts 1-4, and Poparena's own Animorphs series, through this link: www.youtube.com/user/poparena
Stay tuned for the final three parts of this discussion.
Enjoy!
