This is the USMC Hero WOD called "The Mitchell Paige," named in honor of a WWII-era machine gunner who single-handedly defended a ridgeline against a formdible Japanese attack. Sergeant Major E. H. Shirreffs, RS Nashville Sgt. Maj., explains the workout. The Marines in the video are members of the RS Nashville command group.

  • Hey! I met "Mitch" and got to know him a few years before his death....his wife and my late Mom were great DAR buddies. I have personally autographed copy of his book, as well as his 'GI Joe'.........his office was a hoot to visit; humbled this lowly Viet era E4.
