I play guitar which is a 6 string instrument. Yo're on a bass which is 4 strings. I guess that gives you an idea what level you're on!

This guy... I refrain from making negative comments on here because I hate reading them but he has a thing or two to learn about group dynamics and how to best make use of the people in a band. If he hates them so much he should go solo. As for "you are on a four string level" and I'm paraphrasing here because I can't remember exactly what he said, he obviously is missing the point of bass, it is no easier or harder than guitar if you play it right (I play both).
