Would any of you be surprised to discover I fail at organising plots, too?

Absolutely. It's better to try and not quite get there than not to try at all.
Yeah, I should start taking my own advice or something...

It makes sense! And sometimes, things I write early on only make sense when I get to later parts of the plot... that I hadn't even imagined at the start. So things all link together in our heads somehow, even if it doesn't make sense at the time.
Much like this comment, I fear. O.o
I had all the intentions in the world of relating plots to food somehow but forgot. We'll be back on track next week. :

Hah, I know - even towards the end when it's supposed to be all tense and exciting I was falling asleep. HORRIBLE BOOK.

Ray Bradbury sums it up nicely, "Quantity produces quality. If you only write a few things, you're doomed."
:D The more you write, the more the plot gets easier! At least that's my theory!
