@CristinaFernandez I believe you are the only one who's focus is on the music in the background, and your adoration towards Carl Sagan tells that you catch everything but the facts.
The great science has nothing to do with TV leaders like your loved Sagan.
Our technology is still having a hard time to understand how did they lift stones of 1000 tons up to 100/300 feet.
If you didn't get this point, I advice you to stop talking about science, paranormal is your ignorance of the OBVIOUS FACTS.
-
@CristinaFernandez I know the history very well, but the personal life of a man has nothing to do with his science. Sorry if I go a bit ahead, but you sound like the first years' student who worships the commercial idols, mainstream science does this effect on the young student.
FYI Sagan was nothing that important, you are not talking about Nikola Tesla, Niels Bohr, Galilei or Leonardo Da Vinci, Sagan was just a "repeater" who denied everything to keep his place in the media.
Just more facts

@CristinaFernandez I am not influenced by music of videos, and being grown up doesn't mean rejecting everything, that is arrogance and prejudice.
Your definition of Paranormal is misleading, we are not talking about ghosts here, this is ancient history.
I really hope you are mature enough to not deny the magnificence of the Pyramids and the sites in South America, and as a qualified eng. I did the counts myself to figure out how impossible it is to build a Pyramid with todays' technology.

@AnasTangi There are worse ways to make money in this world than creating a video series to teach real science education and instill the public with a sense of wonder about what we truly know about the universe.
Like for instance, receiving a criminal conviction for fraud and embezzlement in Switzerland like Mr. van Daniken? After his release from prison he was smart enough to figure out you can trick people out of their money in ways that don't involve actual outright crime.

Believers in the paranormal have an extremely naive definition of what constitutes "proof." Cave drawings that sorta-kinda look like rockets if you squint aren't proof.
The idea people in the past were visited by aliens is an extraordinary claim and therefore requires extraordinary proof and not flimsy recitations of imaginative folklore.
While the show is incredibly entertaining and has great music, it's important for someone to be a grownup about all this.
-
@CristinaFernandez He is making money with his long series of video tapes, in case you miss it.
-
@CristinaFernandez Haha, this is not paranormal stuff, it's ancient history.
All what you've seen in the video are sites you can visit yourself in many places in the world.
Sagan was a delusion to me, in the past he impressed me, but later I came across bad things he did, he ridiculed many scientists, he denied ancient discoveries and never liked the idea of Aliens.
A cosmos man not fascinated by aliens???
Despite all the evidences we have, he sounds more like a show man puppet to me, sorry
-
@irmensul13 Right, Sagan was one of those uptight arrogant scientists who made their career by talking only about banal science in order to be always right.
He was a pain in the arse to Erich Von Däniken and ridiculed Alien theories. What did he want for a evidence, an Alien to land a cook a diner for him?
But when NASA financed him he was more than happy to draw a childish disc to be launched in space as a message for Aliens. The probability for and Alien to find the disc and UNDERSTAND it???

Holy crap. No way - that's Carl Freakin' Sagan at 4:17! That's a pre-fame, pre-Cosmos Sagan when he was mostly known for his role in the Mariner mission, and I don't think I've ever seen him so young.
Seeing him in a show on paranormal stuff is truly weird. While I can watch these, go along for the ride and have fun, I appreciate seeing Sagan at the end to be a grownup about all this.
-
Whoa, whoa - Dr. Carl Sagan was affilliated with...this show? No way! What exactly did he do?
SOMETHING happened. You can't deny that.
