In Ayurveda it's used medical and it attributed health and anti-inflammatory effects to it

I made Ghee with Margarine. I guess it just works with special varieties (I used Alsan and the Ayurveda method, the boiling process). I wonder how real Ghee tastes, but I read it tastes nutty like mine :D

My grand ma use to make this for us from home made butter..i love the taste..you just cant get the same in store bought ghee. I love to eat solidified ghee than this...i guess i will set in to solid after few hours right?

Aren't you supposed to skim off the foam that forms on the top as you cook the butter... or does adding the water eliminate that step?

@mstax : Yes, aprinkling a bit of water removes the foam - much faster and better than trying to remove it ourselves :)
