20 minutes is long enough.
Or you can leave it on overnight and rinse in the morning.

will this work on other types of scars (not just acne)? I have a gnarly purple scar on my leg from an animal bite and i would like to at the very least lighten it

To get rid of the stain look, put the juice on your cloth in the shower
. Do this whenever you take a bath (in the evening).
