Aaron Edgar is one of the hardest working and most in-demand drummers in Winnipeg, with good reason. He's played, toured and recorded with many artists all over the country, such as : The Waking Eyes, Imaginary Cities, Ridley Bent, Willie Mack, Grand Analog , The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and Jack Semple to name a few. He is also a teacher of all styles of drumming from beginner to professional. With his advanced program, "Aaron Edgar's Brain Exchange at the Grain Exchange" focussing on more out there topics : technique to breakbeat, drum n' bass, extreme metal, double bass, time signatures, metric modulation, displacement, advanced poly-rhythmic and multi-poly-rhythmic theory and so on.

Aaron is the owner of Audio Addiction Studio, which was built specifically for recording drums. The focus of this studio is on long distance remote sessions. He utilizes such equipment as API, Great River and Shadow Hills mic pre's. A wide variety of microphones including Royer Labs, Sennheiser and more. SSL Alphalink converters, the list goes on. On top of it all, an unbelievably massive selection of extremely high end drums and cymbals. A full list of gear and session details can be found on his website, AaronEdgar.com under studio and session.

Aaron is extremely driven and continues an over the top schedule at all times. Somehow he finds time for touring, gigging, teaching, recording and writing. Aaron is proud to be endorsed by Hammerax, Sonor, Puresound, Vater and Protection Racket.

Problem is, you ACT smug when you tell a whole city of musicians to get over themselves, you offer no CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, only insults, which is why you're coming off as a douchebag. Like I said, have a little class, offer polite suggestions, don't act smarmy and raise your nose to everyone like you UNDENIABLY are.And once again, put up something of YOURSELF doing something new.You say you're not this and not that, then act exactly in the manner you say you arent. Hooray for you too.

  • @joshdecent Problem is.. I don't have a Smug Look on my face and I'm not part of any elite crew. I'm just a regular guy WAITING to see some Local Musicians play something that wasn't done 30 years ago. The upside for you Metal Heads and Rock Fans is that my opinion is Rare around this parts.. Most people are very Content with Bland Rock Jams. Heeray for you!!

  • @matako07

My comments had nothing to do with him, it had everything to do with you. Criticism is one thing, blatantly talking shit is another. Retaliating to something like " Winnipeg Musicians..get the fuck over yourself" is clearly aimed at more than just Aaron so don't imply I'm kissing his ass. YOU wipe the smug look off your face with your elite attitude, have a little class and grow up yourself.

  • @joshdecent Hopefully Aaron isn't the kind of guy who needs his Ass Kissed either.

  • @matako07

Funny how it's always the guys without videos of themselves playing online who have all the answers and insults. Calling dry cymbals trash cans makes you come off souinding as one of those 16 year old metalcore drummers screaming "BRIGHT RULZ" chopping through AAXtreme chinas during drawn out breakdowns. You're a fucking chump with nothing to offer so all you can do is insult someone who does.

  • @matako07 I have talked to Aaron many times before, he is a great drummer. jesus christ, the nerve of some people insulting others taste in cymbal preferences , you sir, are a douche bag.

  • Sick, good to see you doing some free range form soloing!

  • those trash can cymbals and sloppy feel aren't gonna get you into Chaka Khan's band

    I guarantee that.

can you imagine Bernard Purdy playing some sloppy noizy, unmusical shit like this in the King Curtis Band?..FIRED!!!

Winnipeg Musicians..get the Fuck Over Yourself and wipe that smug look off your face.

  • @aaronedgardrum Alright, then I totally will! Thanks!

  • @zerethro innovations like the wash control and trip arm! Plus, they're releasing some awesome new products VERY soon!

Sixteen or not, I'd suggest trying to get one for a birthday present, or scrounging money where you can, it's totally worth it! :)
