@StaphAurex Oh, you know better than the professor? "Are you an embryologist?" (Now where did I hear that before? Hint: Adnan)
-
Praise be to the little baby Jesus, that is a miracle!
-
@StaphAurex I don't think the epiboly label is wrong. I would call that epiboly. There is clearly some involution going on at the same time. However, to relabel the arrows as involution would be incorrect.
-
Epiboly is labeled wrong; it should be involution there. Where the blastodisc stretches over the yolk, that's epiboly.
-
This is really great, sometimes its hard to try to figure out what is happening in 3-D as you study a textbook, and then just watching it gives you almost nothing if you haven't a good grasp on what is already going on. This was most helpful- I thank thee sir!... could you do this with other embryonic model organisms praychance?
-
@bearcub87 the zebrafish keel is the groove that eventually forms the spine.
-
More zebrafish! Less anti-theism! :P (Both are cool, but I need more zebrafish in my life right now.)
-
what exactly is the keel? is it the same as the zebrafish shield organizer?
That would go great with bacon.

I'd love to see it through to full development.
