  • I was 17 and a huge longlife Bowie fan and seen him twice. Then this man came along. This man was was very strange and had a new sound that just blow us away. We drove our girlfriends cracy as we played him non stop. Me and my mate are in our fifties now and have seen Numan 7 times. Why, because Gary Numan is top quality and his industrial electronic sound is still the best. He looks after his fans and puts everything into his show. We have great respect for him top man. Jim from Kilmarnock.

  • Bloody hell- this live version's intro is absolutely amaaaaaazing!

  • the live version is amazin'

  • I love you Gary Webb...TLE!!! MxxyMxmx

  • Even though this song was written around 1979, it sounds so 80's... and it still does, it does not sound heavier or saturated like some music nowadays. Just beautiful!

  • Excellent!!, I saw him when I was 22 on his first N. American tour in Toronto, Canada. He sounds great with NIN. You get more than your moneys worth when you see him perform live, great show!! Keep it up!.

  • I always thought this was his best song, even better than 'Cars'.

  • It's cold outside And the paint's peeling off of my walls There's a man outside In a long coat, grey hat, smoking a cigarette Now the light fades out And I wonder what I'm doing in a room like this There's a knock on the door And just for a second I thought I remembered you So now I'm alone Now I can think for myself About little deals and issues And things that I just don't understand A white lie that night Or a sly touch at times I don't think it mean anything to you
