How exactly was Evangelion ever light hearted? The whole point of the series is how screwed up existence is and how they make emotionally damaged kids fight monsters in mechs with dead peoples souls in them, it was always dark. If you want a kiddie version of evangelion, go watch Eureka 7

Oh, one day I'm gonna REMASTER this one. But I'll NEVER use Rebuild scenes again! Otherwise, I'll be DOOMED! As usual, just use the TV Series scenes with End of Eva.

Evangelion had great animation and ramstein is a great band. The only thing I hate is the way the story went. It started out light hearted and just a bit tense then became a travesty of pointless tragedy. It's as if the creators changed the whole premise half way through production. Also Asuka really ruined it for me. What a bitch. The only good thing about the last episodes of evangelion is it showed girl anime fans "what not to be" in real life. Gets mad props for that. lol. Great clip though

yeah i had a very limited about of film to work with. i i had the series aswell i would have made it a bit better.
