The complete line of nylon whips I make that are meant to resemble the whips from the Indiana Jones movies. While no nylon whip will ever be "screen accurate," I believe my nylon Indy's are among the best replicas you can find in the nylon market.
One of my 10ft nylon Indy's used as an all-weather practice whip by a guy in central Florida who actually plays Indy in stunt show at a certain theme park.

how much nylon is needed to make a nylon whip? i just bought 100 feet of 500 paracord... got home, and realized it might not be enough to make a whip

I guess it depends on the length of whip you're wanting to make, but I'd say that you'll want to get 500ft of cord at least. That should be enough to make just about anything you want with some cord to spare.
