Nowhere is the Chinese policy towards Tibet clearer than at this Buddhist monastery in Amdo. Reported by Nicholas D. Kristof of The New York Times.

  • This adds to the ample evidence that the Chinese military and PSB weren't just clamping down hard on rioters but on ALL dissent.

    There is much talk at the moment about the Tibetan resistance becoming violent if the Dalai Lama dies. I think Tibetans probably have a deeper commitment to non-violence than that. However, to quote Martin Luther King: "Those who make non-violent revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable." Ie: It's also up to China if resistance gets more violent.
