If i had to come to a meeting on my day off for something like this i would not be happy. I wonder if they fire people if they don't use the gender female. I always call trans by their name or some netural pronoun(they) I can't call them what gender they think they are because i don't belive in that

armynavygirl: I always had a feeling I was different, but I didn't know what that was for a long time. But keep in mind sexuality (what gender you are attracted to) has nothing to do with being transgendered or with gender identity in general - they are different things. If you're uncertain, my advice, if at all possible, talk to an open-minded therapist about it - they might be able to give you some perspective on things.

Thanks for sharing that. I'm trying to work out my plan right now so these stories are really helping. OMG, I can't imagine having a coming out meeting...I would die.

It was nervewracking, but I'm glad I did. It basically made it a non-issue. I was upfront and honest about things and I think people really appreciated that. Much better than just doing it and telling some and letting others form their own opinions from gossip, I think. Best of luck on your coming out! Feel free to drop me a line if you have questions.

He was a friggin good player too. Had a sweet outside jumper...whereas I always sucked. Only thing I had (back when I played) was hustle, lol!
