Texas A&M Yell Dudes

If you can explain what the hell these guys are doing, please let me know. What impressed/scared me was how EVERY A&M fan in the arena followed along and knew all the words and time to crouch. Creepy.

They're doing the yell called "Beat the Hell Outta" ... So if we were playing say TCU, then the words would be "Beat the Hell Outta TCU." When they put their arms in the air together with their hands together like a gun, they're doing the senior wildcat, or the senior cheer. They'll WHOOP really loud, whoop being a big thing for the juniors and seniors on campus.

they the yell leaders give the sign to "hump it", which is placing your hands on your knees to line up your diaphram to be as loud as possible, and then they count to three, and perform the yell, its quite simple actually. The three you see are the three senior yell leaders.

Yup! Those are the Yell Leaders for Texas A&M. Before every football game we, the students at A&M have yell practice where upwards of 25K students show up and practice an assortment of yells. Each yell has a hand signal that is "passed up" to everyone from the lower rows and then everyone "humps it" where they crouch forward and put their hands on their knees and do the yell that was passed. Every Class has a cheer of sorts that they do after each yell, the Whoop you hear is the seniors.

that was just one of the MANY yells we have. Like stated below, we all hump is, but first we "pass back" a hand gesture to let the whole crowd know which yell we are about to do. Its just the easiest and most efficient way to make sure tens of thousands of fans at any given football game can cheer the yells together :)
