  • henna mixed with brewed tea makes hair really dry

i add honey n yoghurt 4 extra conditioning, n 4 colour i use vimto, it gives a deep rich red colour ( really gooooooooorgeous)

if u want ur hair 2 be brown u can add cocoa or Nescafe

if u want it to have a chestnut colour, u can use chamomile tea

if want ur hair 2 be reddish brown, u can add cinnamon tea

u should avoid tea bcoz i noticed in part 1 vid that ur hair was dry

  • @8hope5 My hair is an ashy color, but it's quite soft and fine, not dry. :)

  • I got a little carried away when I made mine. I added triple strength coffee.

  • Eew, stinky coffee henna. Did your head pound for days?

  • i absolutely love your color and i'm going to try to use your recipe. just one thing, how much tea did you actually pour in to the henna mixture? thanks!

  • I think it ended up being about 3/4c maybe? I didn't use all of it, for sure. I guess I made extra just to be on the safe side. Just make a cup or two and eyeball as you pour. Start small, the goop gets more relaxed as it sits.

I actually need to re-henna my head here! I suppose I should go order more!

  • Thats great you wash your hair and let semi dry before you apply the henna. I do the same. I've notice your consistency is much thicker than mines. I get it to a toothpaste or yogurt consistency so it can properly coat my strands.

  • @bekajoi ... well, the tips of ur hair looked dry in part 1.. i dont no...any way, hav u ever used hibiscus tea?

it's useful 4 hair growth, stops hair loss n premature greying.

n the colour u'd get is a gorgeous red

  • I have the same tension tamer in my desk at work. I agree not much for drinking. Will give it a try in my henna.

  • very good work........

  • Yeah, it sure did. My head was splitting and I felt nauseated. I have since altered my recipe.

  • Coffee can get you a horrible headache. The color won't be that different anyway.
