  • Very nice PC man! Yours is the first I've seen with a submerged HDD! It's amazing that it's still running! Do you mind if I ask some questions please?

1- What size fan is on the CPU heat sink? Can you please provide me with its power ratings and at what speed it is turning at in this oil?

2- Did you use any thermal paste? If yes, what kind?

    Thank you! :-)

  • We did move to a new cooling system, just circulating the oil inside the tank as not enough. After a long while running 24/7 the acrylic tank did crack and we had an "oil leak". Not sure if that was hot enough to fry some fish. :)

We put a pump (water cooling pump) submerged on top of the processor sending the liquid to the outside of the tank, trough a fan cooled radiator (4"x8") and back.

  • About the HDD, make sure to cover all screws with Araldite like adhesive to avoid leaks, make sure to build a snorkel to allow the HDD to "breath".

  • It have been running for more than one year.

  • you should not submerge the HD, if the oil gets inside it will kill it.

  • As I said It have been running for more than one year so far so good.

    thanks.
