@Semaca1983 well anonymous friend of the internet, my transcriptions said otherwise, but they were more of an arrangement (maybe for piano even, I learned this song awhile ago so i cant remember). Listening to the original track from 50 years ago it does sound like a E maj. E7 seems to mimic the harmonies of the voices though, and for me it it creates a more robust version of the song. Its definitely worth trying to shake up the trite open chord-type progressions with something more colorful.

do you want him to come to your house and teach you damn, when i was learning i had no youtube and barely any tabs at all, he gives you the chords listen to the song for the strumming pattern or hire a teacher.
