  • I wish the Youtube snow was here to stay forever...seriously though click on the snowflake its pretty awesome with this tune....

  • @AllRamonesMusic Thankyou :)

  • @gymnastix - That is a great version - and the Phil Spector is the best Christmas album there is, for what its worth!

  • @timdonderevo By the way, my old band once played a bill with Ronnie Spector, as well with Dee Dee and Marky Ramone, after The Ramones split up.

But before I began performing, I was a music journalist, interviewed Joey, so I know how much he loved Spector's "Wall Of Sound" productions. And even with Spector's sad situation, leading to prison, I know, for Joey, the music would still endure. If anything, that was the one, bright & beautiful part of Spector's often dark soul.

  • @timdonderevo So, "Tim Man," please listen to the Phil Spector-produced version of "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" by Darlene Love, too, then to Joey's, and to U2's only if you have time left after hearing the best and the better versions.

After all, Darlene Love's/Spector's version is the "real deal," was Joey Ramone's favorite Christmas song, and why he covered the song in the first place.

  • @timdonderevo Joey Ramone, himself, was a huge Phil Spector fan, which is why Spector produced The Ramones' 1979 album, "End Of The Century," to this date the band's biggest seller.

Joey produced a late '90s CD for Ronnie Spector (Phil's ex-wife, lead singer of The Ronettes), fulfilling a lifelong dream shortly before his untimely death from cancer.
