The third video in this series documenting the setup of my 65 Gallon Saltwater Aquarium focuses on discussing water supply options for the marine hobbyist. Reverse Osmosis / Deionization filtration systems and accessories highlight the discussion.

  • I am in the Detroit Metro area (southfield) where do you go to get you supplies and fish?

  • @TheBlacktwisted1 I'm north east of Detroit so the closest LFS near me is Kee's Aquariums in Shelby, MI. They have or can get basically anything you may need. I also shop online at Bulk Reef Supply, Marine Depot, Premium Aquatics and DrTim's Aquatics. Vivid Aquariums is a great online resource for livestock as well. Check out their WYSIWYG coral section. Really good stuff.

  • wow thanks. Someone told me about the RO system and thought oh no way could I even think about that, but you made it easy ti learn. And that would save money. Thanks so much for the videos!

  • @AllaboutAlice Thanks for the kind words. The reason I started making these videos was to share what I've learned with the community to hopefully help others interested in the hobby.

  • you made the right choice, overall, if you buy water from lfs... you waste money in the long run. You are doing it right lol!

  • @Reeferz4129 Thanks for the comment and the thumbs up! Much appreciated.

  • @huseyin779 You're welcome and good luck!

  • ok thanks for your reply...

  • @huseyin779 If you ordered a system like I did, you just hook it up to your existing cold water tap water line. In my case, the system from BRS came with everything you would need to install it properly. Check their install video out for help...I did and it made the install a snap. With a system like this, you'll have the ability to produce up to 75 gallons of RO/DI water per day. I'm planning another RO system update video to show everyone the way I setup my system to store the RO/DI water

  • hey,i have orderd one of these its coming in a weeks time but do i have to buy the RO water and filter it or can i just use tap water ??
