Another day another nice PoMeRanc contact on 446mhz. This time with Barry from Nova Paka. Distance of 103km made with a station my side of a PMR Watch (Hodinky) 400mw estimated so the manual states and the antenna a 2.5cm fixed antenna with the radio. This event was Pikador 2010 and you can find more information via: www.cbpmr.cz and my location was around 30km south from Prague near Velke Popovice and some 470m asl. Each year, this year being the 7th we remember our lost friend Milan42. For me, means 1000km round trip but worth it when speak to fellow DX'ers of the Czech PMR446 Band... And the distance for you? 103km which in miles is around 64 miles

  • @synopsis8 The radio is available via Albrecht and Team there versions. This was a radio sold via Austria and was if i remember well around 50 euro for the pair.

  • This PMR radio is very interesting because its size is tiny, and that's pretty much accurate for childrens to hold and carry .

Not too many buttons as well. What model is this ?

  • @vicmeuk No skip just people out and about on this great PMR Band. Always works well and from the hills its superb

  • I have only managed 20 miles from a hil to a friend at best...Is this caused by radio conditions called skip?
