I don't understand why everyone wants to play internet MD. I have videos of my autistic daughter up tp try to help other parents and every now and then I get the old "she doesn't have autism" crap. I see it in your daughter 100%. Maybe you have to have a child with autism to know but, to me, it's clear. My Charly was dx at 18mo and therapy started at 9mo (b/c something was clearly wrong) and she's doing great b/c of early help. Glad to see you guys are too. Good luck and stay strong. :)

@ajf7279 :) Thanks for this. You made me smile. I don't get it, either. Perhaps judgment is a form of denial? But, yeah, parents know and often have to fight people just like that to get help. @Sueezee1 You remind me of the school administrator who would not accept her diagnosis and told me to come back when I find her sitting under a table and rocking. There are many autisms. This is higher functioning, but it's autism. Trust me. :)

@ajf7279 Of course you are a much better judge of your kid than someone who watched a few minutes of video. Just ignore those. Ignore this if you want. Those people who say she isn't autistic, say so b/c she seems to be doing really well. I wonder if she listens to music a lot? I wonder about the effects of music on an austic child. I don't have 1 myself, but maybe its a discussion topic between you and those other parents. Maybe you are way ahead of me. You seem like a great mom

@Piquichi123 thank you so much for posting this video. Our daughter Matilda is Sara's age and we were amazed at how similar they are. Matilda also has high functioning autism and her mannerisms, demeanour, even singing voice are so similar to Sara's! God bless our little girls xx

@Piquichi123 last thing, the directors who has evaluated my son told me to expect good and non-directed social competency after about a year from now. He is 4.5 yrs old. I am interested in the video you show your daughter, what is it called? how did you procure it? thanks :)

@Piquichi123 Also, people don't know he has ASD, until they get to know him and he just seems socially "off" or disinterested, but it took work to get there! I credit a lot of prayers too. He has days when he seems totally normal, and other days when we are reminded he has those issues. IT's weird an no one can figure out why. I try to keep his Omega 3, Vit A and D and E up (using lemon flavoured cod live oil - nothing fishy about the taste!) I think it might have helped but I'll never know.
