Proverbs 28:13 - "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy."
I read this scripture and realized that so many folk are living beneath their means due to a lifestlye of SIN!!!
Some folk are living accursed lives due to their failure to obey the WORD of GOD!
The Bible says, "I wish that you would PROSPER and be in good health even as your SOUL PROSPER!"
But many people will never experience this PROSPEROUS life because of the sin in their lives! That's why we are a sick/diseased impoverished nation of people!

2 Chronicles 7:14 - "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

MAY GOD BE WITH YOU IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!

When an unreached people (lets say Mongolians) receives the gospel, they will embrace music that is likened to their culture.

We cannot be so arrogant as to say that "American Christian gospel music" must be what these new Mongolian Christians should embrace.

They will make music from the style preferences of the culture, and if the music is Christ-centered, God will be glorified.

U r concerned about music as if GOD can't draw folk in like HE did in the bible. The Church doesn't need music of any form to win folk to CHRIST! GOD didn't use it when the church 1st came into existence so why are we bent on using "stuff" like rap to draw young people! These young folk are no diferent than the young folk who lived in the books of Acts, Corinthians, Romans, Deut, etc! Man has changed but not GOD, since GOD hasn't changed His church doesn't need to change to draw no one!

The Church doesnt NEED music to help bring souls to Christ....but what is wrong if it is used to help? there are many cases in the Bible where people sing praises to God. what is wrong with Christian rap? it's another form of giving Glory to God

Nothing wrong with singn praises to GOD but music and praise will never replace the preaching of GOD's WORD! The bible says, "how can they hear without a preacher"!

Christian rap is an imitation of wordly rap. GOD doesn't have to imitate anything, as a matter of fact GOD will NOT imitate anything. GOD is the Creator, He doesn't need to imitate to create a praise! He doesn't need to imitate to draw people to HIM! All we need to do (in order for folk to come to CHRIST) is do what JESUS said, "if I be lifted up, I'll draw all men unto me"! We don't need all this alternative stuff to win folk to CHRIST, HE never said use stuff like rap or anything else!

Just take a look at the gospel CD covers in Wal-Mart or Best Buy... they'll tell who REALLY gets the glory. These artists are self absorbed. Putting out a gospel album with themselves on the cover with a gold chain, and Oakland A's cap, a mean look, and fancy threads... disgusting. It goes to show us that we are in PERILOUS times right now, and it'll only get worse.

This mess ain't helpin to get saved. We can't be bringing foolishness into the church and think that it's okay and that God approves. I am only 19 but I am old school. Back in the day it didn't take all of that to get the youth save. We need to go back to what use to work back in the day. Holliness is still right!!! We shouldn't be imiatators or the world we should be orginal they should be wanted to follow us not us follow them.

Preach it! Just because somehow has a choir is or is directing a choir does not mean they are called to a preacher...PREACH IT! People ask what is wrong with Hip Hop in the Church....just like you can cast demons out with music you can help someone to be filled with one...((not everyone in the church is saved))...I am 19 yrs old and I can tell you that music is not saving or helping save anyone or keep them saved. It's just helping people to get closer to the world..

@mossboy4 Amen I agree with you on that. God ate with sinners, walk with them talk to them but you know what he didnt confrom to them they changed. So forget the hip hop its garabage and its killing a black youth spiritually, and physically.

I strongly agree with the Preacher! I've had young ppl that are not saved and who dnt know Jesus say, "Man I dnt need and wanna hear none of that "gospel rap" when I come to church! I hear enough of that mess out here in the world!" When I heard that all I could do was lift my hands and Thank God! The word says "Sing unto the Lord a new song! God always sends a witness!!! My God! I thank God for what I'm in! True Holiness!!!

I'm so encouraged and have been blessed by Bishop Herman Murray's sermon's preaching against sin and standing for HOLINESS!!
