"What?" I turned to Robert his eyes racked with utter confusion and fear, I could hear the fierce beating of the clock inside my head, tick... Tock.. Tick.. tock..... Time was running out and I knew that if we didn't go right now, Frank's life hung in the balance.
"Are you okay?" We all stared at the man who's head was peering inside the passenger window, "Are you hurt? Should I call the police?" The stranger reached inside his coat pocket pulling out his cell phone.
"No, I'm fine." Shawn's voice was monotone. Rain poured down on the man and he didn't seem to mind, he slowly put his phone into his pocket.
"If you want I would give you guys a lift!" He shouted over the deafening thunder. It was silent for a few mere moments. "Just tell me where you have to go." I looked at Shawn; his my mind deep with thoughts.
"What about my car?"
"I could call a tow company and I'll pay for your window."
"You don't have to do that." Robert spoke up from the back. "We don't want to cause you any trouble."
"No, no, but I want to, it's fine." He was practically soaked with rain now and the constant honking of the cars caused constrain on my ears. It scared me at how many minutes passed, Kiyo could already be at the hospital by now.
Shawn tapped quietly on the steering wheel, sighing discreetly. "Alright, fine. Let's go." I watched as Shawn got out of the car slowly, quickly putting his hood on. Robert followed suit. While I just sat there, thinking about Natalie, she was killed by Kiyo behind the woods of the school. I knew Natalie would never go behind the school even if you dared her to. If Natalie was killed yesterday after school then wouldn't Robert have talked to her on her way to her car? Kiyo couldn't have just taken her back there. She would've screamed or ran away. It just didn't seem to make sense, supposedly Kiyo lures her behind the school, and she meets her untimely demise. I know Natalie hadn't been the nicest to Kiyo but was it enough for him to kill her? Or even so the 'blood' that I saw on Kiyo's shirt could've easily been red paint from painting his garage, he wouldn't have worn the same shirt the next day or left visible traces of blood. What if Kiyo didn't kill her?-
"Alex," I looked at Robert. "You okay?"
"Uh, yeah."
"Come on." He gestured his head over the man's car. I unfastened my seatbelt and got out of the car, Robert wrapped his arm around my shoulder as we walked in the bitter rain. Thoughts and inquiries filled my mind at I sat tin the back seat of the gray Ford Focus. For some reason, the ritual of having to run things over and over again filled me and feeling the pain, maybe feeling alive, feeling some kind of release, it was somehow therapeutic to me. Robert sat comfortably beside me, all the while Shawn sat strained in the passenger seat. The nice stranger who offered us a ride revved up the car engine and drove down the busy street with immense composure.
"So, what's your name anyways?" Robert asked.
"It's John. John Attings, what's your's?"
"Robert O'Keefe. This is my friend Alex Ferdinand, and the extremely tense guy in the front seat is Shawn Thomas."
"Very nice to meet everyone one of you guy's but it is unfortunate how we met at the same time as well. Now, I don't want to sound like I'm surging into you all's dilemma but who was that back there? The man that shot at you?"
"His name is Kiyo and he just killed one our friends. Now we think that he's going after another guy-"
"But, we don't know for sure if it's him." I said quietly.
Robert turned towards me shooting daggers in every direction. "Are you mad? Alex, I thought you finally realized it was him; we all know by now that Kiyo is an established serial killer. First it was Tracey Briggs and now it was...Natalie," he paused taking in a massive lament. "I just don't understand why you're still trying to stick up for him-"
"I never said that I was sticking up for him, I'm just saying that there could have been a chance that Kiyo might've not killed Natalie."
"Unbelievable." Robert groaned.
"Then why are we trying to save Frank if you think there is a slight chance that Kiyo couldn't have killed your friend. You said Frank was next, are you sure?"
"I'm just trying to be assured that Frank is fine. If he is then we can go. That's all I'm saying."
Robert laughed. "Okay, so now you're not even sure if Kiyo is going after Frank. You seemed pretty damn sure to me when we were at school. Shit, Alex. What the hell is going through your mind right now, huh? At first you didn't even want to believe but now then you do, though as of right now you're back to phase one again. Make up your mind!"
"Shutup, Robert! Don't try to turn this thing on me, we are focusing on Frank. He is the main priority at this moment. If you want to believe that I don't know where I stand as in trying to figure out what Kiyo really did."

argh I really dont know what to think! :S Did kiyo do it or not? Because I think he pretty much seems like the killer type BUT then again he was so sweet and like Alex said he wouldnt be that stupid and leave blood marks on his shirt,now would he??
