  • Thats not james jamerson on bass, but cool tune

  • He's credited for it.

  • Bobby Vega is also credited for bass. This just doesnt sound like Jamerson,,, too slappy.

  • Bobby only dropped in on "We're In Ecstacy" on that LP.

    The rest is all Jamerson.

  • Phenomenal playing by Hubert. The funkiest ever!

  • @MrConqueror123 Funny that you mentioned that this album is out of print, cause I just went to the record shop and got this album on vinyl in the used section for $3! Its like I found buried treasure!

  • This His Son James Jamerson JR playing bass...... He became a in demand studio bassist also... But not like Dad..

  • I remember my mother buying this album when I was a kid. She was a serious jazzhead so stuff like this was common. Unfortunately this album is out of print, however you can go on Hubert Laws's website and order the remaster for 15 dollars.

  • This is probably James Jamerson JUNIOR playing on this record.

  • read "Standing in the Shadows of Motown, the Life and Music of the Legedary Bassist, James Jamerson"

It may credit him on this album, but this is not him! James would never , ever slap the strings like that!
