The orchestra is probably the best quality about Abrahadabra, you have to give them credit, they Lost theyre keyboardist and bassist/clean vocal, and replaced them with an orchestra and a choir, its just awsome, pure, heavy metal.

Abrahadabra is a great album! It's not the best Dimmu Borgir album but i think it deserves a higher rating. I would give it something like 8/10.

Its weird now because you cant even compare Dimmu to black emtal anymore really, im not sure what theyve become. this was a great review and I admit the orchestra was great but that was the only good parts. Female vocals ruined gateways, imo the only decent song. The videos are on the verge of trolling they are so ridiculous. Lyrics some parts where cool but overall very lame. name of album:retarded. I love their old stuff like Stormblast but have to say DCA and PEM was best. i give Abra a 4/10

man on metal Archives that album gets about 15 of the 100 points....are those fucktwards retarded?....I like old school black metal....aka bathory and mayhem.

And comparing this with the standard norwegian BM act is just wrong.

All albums after triumphant are SHIT....except for this one....This album is one of the bets i heared 2011.The composition's are great....and about vortex...fuck him...the 2 songs he has a line on on every album...is that what we need?

@SamCoupe666 Going to disagree with you about the orchestra..In my opinion it is too much and dominates the band,i get the feeling (and i could be wrong) that this was done intentionally to mask the fact that Mustis is no longer in the band..I believe that his musical contributions to the band are more than many people are aware of or have given him credit for.I also think that although this album does have a few good tracks that the majority of it isn't that great to put it mildly.

Nah, Abrahadabra is the worst Dimmu Borgir´s disc i had lisend, they have totally lose the Black Metal meaning, 90´ was the best of Dimmu Borgir. I am not angry with the band, they deside what to do with their life, anyways, please, please! dont call this Black Metal

Abrahadabra was the first i heard of Dimmu Borgir (sad, i know, it took me so long to discover them). I didn't mind the crazy female vocals, probably coz i saw the Gateways video and that was some trippy shit right there, and so after i saw the video, the audio just made more sense. \m/

In my opinion, or ICS Vortex and mustis come back to the band (wich I think it's not gonna happen that soon) or they should not use clean vocals in the next album.
