It's funny when Lucille Ball lip synced to this song then it skips then goes fast then slows down. Both women were beautiful. Carmen had a high voice.

@jvgolias13 Yes, the correct translation is Mammy I want, Mammy I want suck, give the pacifier, give the pacifier to the baby doesn't cry. Sleep my son from my heart, take your babby bottle and enter in the cord. It's very hard to translation this music, because the word cordão means a long queue of people dancing and after the baby fed people enter in the pleasantry. But if they translate like mammy I want suck, maybe it can be bad language and the people can think that this music is dirty...

I certainly am obliged to myself to admit that you are right: Her Majesty Carmen Miranda is incomparable, there is no equal, out of discussion. Now, from another angle, it is good to see people finding Carmen resembled in someone else's style and attitude. That makes them unique as well. Besides, they help keep Carmen's memory alive whenever they mention her - even if in a twisted way. Don't you think so?
