the looks and sounds like a china splash!(reversed bell splash)

did that flip inside out while you were cutting it? I was cutting a paiste to make hi hats and it flipped inside out mid cut. Check out my vid of the mini hats i made. They are similar to your china but if i just use the bottom like you, mine sounds like a chime.
